Q:) What is the difference between the AUYA's ID and SN Number?

A:) The ( ID Number) is a unique Membership Number which starts with CD22 or CD23 provided to you after you have registered as an Official Member of AUYA.

Whilst, the (SN Number) is the Special Employment Number for Office Holders of AUYA, which starts with SN: following the two Country's Initials for example ET for Ethiopia and GH for Ghana , ending with EL,DOB-AUYA

Q:) What are the benefits of the ID & SN Special Numbers?

A:) The Two numbers represent your special Identification which is use to process your Ground passes for all our high Level AUYA summits, conferences, symposiums, and the General Youth Assembly Events registration. It is also used to request attestation and recommendations documents from AUYA proven your membership with AUYA. Also to be used to obtain Medical and other corporate access in the future

Q:) If I have AUYA's Membership or Employment numbers, Can I access and login into the Official website?

A:) Yes, once your registration has been approved and confirmed by the Registration Department, your details shall be sent to the IT Dept to give you access to login and explore the Site.

Q:) How long does it take for an ID number or Employment Number to expire?

A:) The ID or Membership Number is renew every year alongside your membership, while the Employment (SN) Number last for a period of 2 years renewable serving your employment tenure as an Office Holder at AUYA.

Q:) If I have AUYA's Membership Card, do I have to register or get a special Ground pass to attend AUYA Events and Conferences?

A:) No, If you hold a valid AUYA membership ID Card and IDs, you do not need to register or to request a Ground pass. Your valid AUYA Membership or Employment Cards will enable you to enter any of the AUYA's events, space permitting.

Q:) If I do not hold a valid AUYA's Membership Card, can I obtain a special event ticket to attend?

A:) Representatives invited to participate as panelists or discussants will receive a letter of invitation from the Office of the Chairperson of the African Union Youth Assembly (OCAUYA). Representatives of civil society organizations and other relevant groups interested in attending as observers and who do not hold a valid AUYA grounds pass may indicate interest in attending an event by contacting us.

Q:) Will the events be webcast?
A:) Yes, at the time of the events, they will be webcast live here: AUYA -TV. Press releases and News of the event will also be published and available on International Media stations and equally published into our Magazines and Journals, in AUYA Times and online archives.

Q:) Where will I be able to send questions and comments regarding each of the events and/or their concept notes?

A:) There will be a form on each event’s web page for questions and comments. You may also follow updates on the AUYA events via our Twitter @assemblyafrican


Q:) How will panelists and discussants be selected?
A:) Panelists and discussants for the events and debates will be chosen through a nomination process by the OCAUYA and relevant agencies and based on the objectives of the respective activities.

Q:) Will there be funding available for travel?
A: The OCAUYA and our Chief Sponsor and Partner HCRFF (Haiti Cholera Research Funding Foundation Inc.) will not be able to provide funds for travel for the time being.

Q: Will the OCAUYA provide letters of invitation to secure a visa?

A: Yes The Office of the Chairperson of the African Union Youth Assembly (OCAUYA) will provide letters of invitation to secure a visa depending of the applicants status.

Q:) How will the inputs of civil society and other relevant stakeholders influence the outcomes of the High-level Events and Thematic Debates of the President of the African Union Youth Assembly Assembly?

A:) The inputs of civil society and other relevant stakeholders could be taken into account in the preparation of the substantive background notes being prepared for the events.

Q:) Will there be opportunities for Permanent Observer Organizations as well as Youth-Led Organizations, International Agencies, Funds and Programmes to speak at the event?
A:) Yes. Heads of Intergovernmental Organisations that are Permanent Observers to the AUYA as well as Heads of International Agencies, Funds and Programmes are encouraged to contact the Secretary-General of AUYA Hon. Hanin Ahmed, or the Country President Elect of Ethiopia, Hon. Samson Haileyesus Kebede Ahmed, and register their intention to speak in the plenary component of the event. Representatives from these bodies will be given the opportunity to take the floor at the conclusion of statements from Member States, time permitting.
